Quality Control & Labelling

To ensure the highest quality of products leaving our yard all labelling of trees is carried out by Highland Nordmann Fir staff only. In order to follow up on the excact origin of the trees delivered we label all trees with our Highland Nordmann Fir branded label. The label has the facility of a barcode system and different label colours will represent quality and size.

Harvesting

The ability to sell trees relies very much on the presentation of the product. Highland Nordmann Fir use only qualified harvesting staff most of whom have been working for us for many years.

Freshness is another important factor and therefore we organise the cutting of trees to be carried out as late as possible although allowing for the trees to settle before netting. Cutting is done by chain saw to ensure the best finish of the tree trunk. All netting is carried out in the plantation on grass tracks to avoid mud stained trees and the trees are then transported to the centralised yard for palletisation.

Palletisation

All trees from 100-275cm are palletised on the wellknown CT-pallet system. (11 pallets per artic load) This also optimized the number of trees per lorry load and cuts down the handling of loose trees and the damages caused by loose tree unloading.

Deliveries

Highland Nordmann Fir rely on the flexibility of using independent haulage companies for our nationwide deliveries. A common factor for most of the hauliers is that they have carried out deliveries for us for many years and therefore our customers can safely enjoy a professional and friendly delivery service – on time.

Continuous Supply

Highland Nordmann Fir offer a continuous supply of high quality trees today and in the future. Through repeated replanting year after year we ensure that the level of supply is kept stable. To further assure deliveries we have the option and flexibility of harvesting trees in our own Danish Plantations.
